Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
The latest from the Nintendo franchise has solidified itself as more than just a game for casual fans. Introducing many more mechanics than its two predecessors, Ultimate quickly developed a competitive scene of the highest standard.

- Version: Nintendo Switch;
- Format: Bracket double eliminaton, singles tournament;
- 3 stocks, 7 minutes;
- Games per set: 2/3;
- Games per set from top 8: 3/5;
- The winner of the previous game can ban 3 stages before the counterpick phase;
- "Character-first" counterpicks procedure, i.e. players choose their respective characters before proceeding to the counterpicks phase for games 2 to 5;
- Players can choose to counterpick a stage they have already won in the same set, if that stage has not been banned by the opponent;
- Players are not allowed to agree on which stage to play if this would violate existing stage choice rules. Attempting to coerce an opponent into such an agreement may result in a game loss or set loss penalty, depending on the severity of the infraction;
- If a game ends on time OR with both players losing their last stock simultaneously, the winner of said game is determined by the following criteria, in order:
- The player with the most stocks;
- The player with the lowest percentage of damage;
- A new game, on the same stage, with 1 stock and 2 minutes.
- If a game ends by resolving a character's self-destruct move, the winner of the game is determined by the results screen after the game, with no exceptions;
- The "Sudden Death" mode is ignored in all cases;
- All types of controllers are allowed, as long as they do not have "macro" or "turbo" functions that are not present in official Gamecube controllers.
- Controllers with wireless compatibility must be unsynchronized after each tournament set;
- Warm-ups and controller tests are allowed before the start of the set only if they do not exceed 45 seconds of game time;
- Coaching is not allowed;
- Uploading content or software to tournament consoles without the express permission of the TOs is not allowed;
- Amiibos are not allowed.

Before Game 1:
- Players select their characters. Anyone can request a “Double-Blind” selection. Anyone can request a "Double-Blind" selection;
- Players determine who has the first or second stage strike by way of FT1 RPS (Rock, Paper, Scissors);
- Players take turns doing the stage strike of the 5 starter stages listed above, in a "3-4-1" order, thus determining the first stage of the set.
Between games:
- The winner of the previous game announces their character for the next game. Changing the character from the previous game is allowed;
- The loser of the previous game announces their character for the next game. Changing the character from the previous game is allowed;
- The winner of the previous game deletes 3 stages from the list of legal stages. This selection is only effective for the game in progress and does not persist for the rest of the set;
- The loser of the previous game selects the stage to be played from the remaining 6, and can choose a stage they have already won if that stage has not been eliminated;
- Both players proceed to character select and select the characters they announced at the start of the phase.
